Privacy notice
Match Timer helps grassroots football managers run matches from the touchline. This notice explains, in plain English, what we keep and why. Match Timer is run by Compost Guy Ltd, trading as Director.Football. Company number 15603335. Registered office: Suite A, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk IP28 7DE. Compost Guy Ltd is responsible for the personal data in the app and is the data controller for account data.
What we store
- About managers and club admins: your email address and password (stored securely; we can't read it), which clubs and teams you belong to, and the date you agreed to this notice.
- About players (often children): a display name — first name and surname initial only — and, if added, a shirt number. Nothing else: no dates of birth, photos, addresses or contact details.
- About matches: opponent, date, format, who was available, and the goals, assists and saves logged, with the match time.
Who can see it
- Club admins can see everything in their club: every team, player and match.
- Team managers can see only the teams they've been added to — those players, matches and stats — and nothing about other teams.
- Nobody outside your club can see your club's data. Match summaries are only shared if a manager chooses to share them (for example in WhatsApp).
Why
To let managers record and review their team's matches. Managers are responsible for having the agreement of a parent or guardian before adding a child's name, as confirmed by the consent tick at sign-up.
Where it's stored
The app is hosted by Lovable, with the database run on Lovable Cloud in the US East (Ohio) region, United States. A copy is also kept on the manager's own phone so matches work without signal. Logging out removes the phone copy.
How long we keep it
Data is kept until you delete your account, an admin deletes a player, team or club, or the club is deleted. Nothing is deleted automatically.
Getting data deleted
- Delete your own account any time in Settings → Delete my account.
- To remove a player, ask your club admin — they can delete a player permanently, which removes their name from all matches.
- Club admins can delete a whole club, with all its teams, players and matches.
- Parents or guardians can ask the club, or contact us below.
